About Me

Welcome to my blog. I am Naimur Rahman Farooqi, a retired Professor of Medieval History. My academic career has been dedicated to the exploration of South Asian History, with a particular emphasis on Mughal India and its relations with the Ottoman Empire. My doctoral research centered on Medieval Indian History, and I pursued my PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

During my tenure, I served as Professor of History, Dean Faculty of Arts, Dean Foreign Students Affairs, Dean Research and Development, and finally as Vice-Chancellor at the University of Allahabad. I also served as Professor of History and Indian Culture at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration.

Though now retired, my scholarly interests remain active. This blog provides a space to share my research, insights, and perspectives on the compelling narratives of history. I invite you to join me in these historical explorations.
